As we look back 250 years to the founding of the United States, we want to tell the story of another radical transformation that occurred over the first 50 years of the new republic. The birth of Unitarianism in America brought an end to 150 years of Puritan hegemony, especially in New England, where liberal theology replaced Calvinist doctrine in hundreds of churches in the space of a generation.
