While Beltane celebrations and customs vary from place to place there are many common themes in the northern hemisphere may celebrations. Festivities tend to have a light-hearted feel generally focused on fertility, prosperity, health, protection, and celebration of new life. While in places further north such as Fairbanks there may be flowers or it may be snowing we can still appreciate a relief from the long winter and celebrate the return of new life.
