Why We Fight: Armistice Day/Veterans Day Reflections

The Great War, “the war to end all wars,” officially ended on the 11th month/day/minute nearly 100 years ago. What did we really learn? Why do we still have war? How can the UU Principles help prevent humans from fighting with each other? The service will include a reading of “Flander’s Fields, plus collection of books for recycling Sunday.  Children are invited to hand out poppies at the beginning of service. Any child wishing to participate simply needs to be present by 10:30 a.m. Lay leader: Jeanne Olson. Various speakers.
