UUFF’s Hungry Book Club will meet at 6pm at Susan Fox’s home (directions follow) to discuss “Mindless Eating” by Brian Wansink. This will be a potluck as usual. The book we will be reading for the November 13 meeting will be “Blue Zones” by Dan Buettner. The book club is open to all. Reading the book is recommended, but is not a requirement. Read More »

Join us October 23-25 at UUFF, for a wonderful workshop opportunity for committed couples seeking to deepen and enrich their relationships. Preschool RE will meet for their usual gathering and play time. Elementary will be talking more about how sports reflect our UU values with Bre and Marilyn. Middle School will meet this week, so make sure to come and start your lessons on the “Gospel according to the Simpsons” with Michael. Remember that the Middle School group meets on the First Sunday of the Month. YRUU will not be meeting this week. Note: Preschool is still looking to hire one more youth attendant, please contact Bre Griffin (490-4604) or email us if you are interested in working some Sundays.
Starting Thursday, October 8
A Nonviolent Communication Workshop will meet Thursdays at UUFF starting October 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This workshop opens pathways of speaking at home, in the workplace and the community to arrive at win/win solutions and make for compassionate relations. Call 457-8086 or email Suzanne Osborn to order a book and workbook. Also, there is a signup sheet on the bulletin board.

Sunday, October 4th at noon is the end of the current silent auction. The October table will feature tableware, baskets, etc. If you have anything to contribute, please bring it into the office. November’s table will feature jewelry. We thought it would be a good pre-holiday gift finding offering.

A small group of people who gather once a week for eight weeks. Discussion revolves around a different topic each week, but all relate to a general theme. Participation in a Chalice Circle is a great way to get to know others in the Fellowship, to learn more about UU, and to explore your thoughts and beliefs in a safe place. Marilyn Richardson and Jeff Merkel will facilitate this next Chalice Circle, which will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning in mid-October.
