Silent Auction

Check the table in the foyer for silent auction items that will be available for bidding during the month of April. Bid sheets will close at noon May 3rd.

RE: This Week

The middle school group will be joining the service and
the Elementary group will be talking about N.C. Wyeth with Doron and
Caitlin. Next week, Easter, the Elementary group will be playing some games
to welcome in Spring with Jenny and Caitlin, and then head up to hear the
closing words of the service before going outdoors (as long as it is sunny)
for our second annual Easter Egg hunt. The Middle School group will be
helping Bre and Laenne hide those Easter Eggs as a service to the
fellowship.

Special Offering and Spaghetti Feed to Youth Trip to GA

This Sunday: The UUFF Youth Group is presenting our annual Humor Sunday service on April 5. The offering from the service will be donated to the Youth Group to help fund their trip to Salt Lake City to attend the UUA General Assembly (GA) in June. (If you would like your offering to go toward your pledge on Sunday, please write “pledge” on your check, or on the outside of the cash envelopes provided for this purpose. Make sure you include your name on the envelope).

Donations for the Spaghetti Feed and Open Mic Joke Fest following the service will also go to support the Youth Group’s GA ambitions, but the youth want to let you know that lunch is on them for anyone who puts money in the plate during the offering. We appreciate your support! P.S. Don’t forget to bring a favorite joke or funny story to tell.

Humor Sunday: Can I get a “RA-men” from the Congregation?

Reared in the spirit of ecumenical open-mindedness and deep spiritual curiosity, members of UUFF’s Youth Group have embarked on an exploration of Pastafarianism, the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. This Sunday they’ll share what they’ve learned about the beliefs, spiritual practices and metaphysical implications of this surprisingly consequential new religion, which has entered the debate on evolution vs. intelligent design and been featured on The Colbert Report and Science Friday, among other media outlets. Speakers and lay leaders, UUFF Youth Group. Accompanist, Susan Grace.
